We are thrilled to share the fantastic news that Woodhey High School has been rated as ‘Outstanding’ for Behaviour and Attitudes and ‘Outstanding’ for Personal Development, following our most recent Ofsted inspection (July 2025).
The report highlights the school’s transformed culture, high expectations, exceptional engagement of students, and the strong relationships between staff and students. Inspectors praised students’ exemplary behaviour, their pride in belonging to Woodhey, and the calm, respectful atmosphere across the school.
They also celebrated the wide range of opportunities available for pupils to grow beyond the classroom, from our pledge system to enrichment activities in sport, music, drama, and the arts and the excellent way that students are prepared for life after Woodhey.
Headteacher Dean Watson said:
“We are immensely proud of this outcome. It reflects the hard work, dedication, and commitment of our staff, students, parents, carers and the wider community. This report recognises the incredible transformation at Woodhey, and we look forward to building on this success together.”
This is a moment of real celebration for our whole school community — a testament to what can be achieved when we all work together with pride and determination.
