On Wednesday 10th January, Our Year 9 and 10 dancers had a tremendous opportunity to take part in a dance Showcase, sharing their talents on a professional stage. For many of the students, this was their first time on such a stage, and was a fantastic experience.
Martha, Charlotte and Olivia, from Year 9, shared their thoughts on the evening:
'Year 10 GCSE and Year 9 Dancers were invited to join many other schools for a showcase at the Albert Halls in Bolton. We left school after third period and got on the coach to the venue. Once we arrived, we were taken to the auditorium to perform three dress and technical rehearsals before the show. During these rehearsals we had the opportunity to perform for the other schools and watch their performances. this was so much fun and everyone in the audience were really supportive of each other. In the evening it was time for the show. It felt great to perform on such a huge stage in front of so many people with professional lights and costume. The whole day was a fantastic experience, and we can't wait to perform again in the showcase next year'.
