As part of Woodhey High School’s Personal Development programme, The Pledge, all Year 10 and Year 11 students took part in a week of Mock Interviews during the week commencing 17th March 2025. The initiative aimed to prepare students for their next steps beyond school, whether that be college, apprenticeships, or entering the world of work.

Throughout the week, students experienced real-life interview scenarios, giving them the opportunity to practise and refine key techniques such as presenting themselves professionally, answering competency-based questions, and reflecting on their skills and aspirations. This invaluable experience not only boosted students’ confidence but also gave them practical insight into what to expect in future interviews.

The week was a real success, with students praising the experience and the confidence it gave them in preparing for life after school. Staff and interviewers alike commented on how well-prepared and engaged the students were throughout the process.
