Recently, our Year 11 students took part in Mock Interview Week, an exciting highlight of the personal development programme at Woodhey, The Pledge. This event gave students the chance to practise and refine essential interview skills, preparing them for future education, training, and career opportunities.

We are incredibly proud of our students, who approached each interview with confidence, enthusiasm, and professionalism. It was inspiring to see them put their learning into practice and demonstrate the skills they have developed throughout the year.

A huge thank you to all our external partners and volunteers who supported the week, providing invaluable feedback and guidance to our students:

  • ADA College – Alicia Easley, Juliet Coe

  • Bury College – Rosie Rafferty

  • Bolton College – Daniella Kelsall

  • Canon Slade – Lorna Bramfitt

  • Holy Cross College – Hannah Monaghan

  • Greater Manchester Fire & Rescue Service – Martin Foran

  • VITAL ENERGI – Stuart Hoyle, Dave Archer

  • NHS Greater Manchester – Clare Mariani

  • Academy Council – Carolyn Baines, Gill Hoyle

  • Lavender Hills – Kala Morton

Your time, expertise, and encouragement made a real difference in helping our students gain confidence and insight into the world of interviews.

We would also like to thank Paul Tresnan and Carole Dunne who helped to co-ordinate the event.

Well done, Year 11! You’ve represented Woodhey brilliantly and shown what can be achieved through preparation, perseverance, and self-belief.
