Woodhey High School is celebrating a record-breaking GCSE Results Day, with students achieving the highest attainment outcomes in the school's history and significant improvements across every key performance measure.

This year's exceptional results reflect the hard work, dedication and resilience of students, supported by committed staff and families throughout their educational journey. The school has seen improvements across all headline measures, with outcomes continuing to be significantly above national averages.

Among the many outstanding achievements, students secured an impressive 75 Grade 9s across the school, demonstrating the exceptional academic standards being reached by Woodhey students.

Particular cause for celebration is the remarkable success of the school's most vulnerable learners. Yet again, students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and those eligible for the Pupil Premium have made significant gains, reflecting Woodhey's commitment to ensuring that every young person can achieve their full potential regardless of background or circumstance.

Two students, Adam and Edward, achieved the extraordinary accomplishment of securing Grade 9s in every subject, placing them among the very highest-performing students nationally and showcasing the outstanding opportunities and support available at Woodhey High School.

Headteacher Mr Watson praised the achievements of this year's cohort:
