As part of the school’s Personal Development programme, The Pledge, 176 Year 7 students took part in an exciting residential experience at Kibblestone Scout Camp from 23rd to 25th September 2026.

Over the three days, students challenged themselves through a range of activities, including axe throwing, bushcraft, climbing, wide games and orienteering. For some students, it was their first experience of camping and spending an extended period of time outdoors.

However, the residential was about much more than activities. It provided an invaluable opportunity for students to build new friendships, meet new people, develop resilience and grow in confidence. Students supported and encouraged one another as they tackled new experiences and stepped outside their comfort zones.

Most importantly, the trip gave our Year 7 students the chance to make lifelong memories with their friends at the very beginning of their secondary school journey.

A huge thank you to all the instructors and staff who made the residential possible, with a special thank you to Tamar and Tom from Entrust for their support, enthusiasm and encouragement throughout the trip.

Well done, Year 7!
